The Ottawa Senators didn't look crisp from the start last night as the Detroit Red Wings took full advantage of a shorthanded defense corps with 2 AHL call-ups on the blueline.  The Wings scored twice on the powerplay in a 4-1 win over the red hot Senators.

With the Ottawa Senators extending their win streak to nine games on Saturday afternoon after a thrilling 3-2 overtime win over division rival Montreal, there wasn't much the Sens could do wrong.

The Ottawa Senators have now won 4 straight games on the road and six in a row overall after a defensive battle in Beantown yesterday which saw Ottawa defeat Boston 2-1.
