Forget the Detriot Lions. They have a win this season. Something that can't be said of the St. Louis Rams, still searching for victory #1. The Rams travel this week to Jacksonville, a team coming off a 41-0 loss to the Seahawks, in hopes of claming their first victory.

After missing out on the top tackle in the NFL draft last year, the Rams stepped up on the clock at #2 overall and made amends, getting the #1 tackle prospect this year in Jason Smith from Baylor.

Orlando Pace, the 7-time Pro Bowler offensive tackle drafted in 1997 by the St. Louis Rams, has been let go. Pace, 33, has battled numerous injuries over the past few seasons. The move will save the Rams $6M under the salary cap, money that can be used for free agents or to help resign Pro Bowl safety OJ Atogwe to a long-term contract.
