The Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Denver Broncos in Denver this Sunday in a match of two different styles.
Tampa faces a team that is coming off a horrible loss to the K.C. Chiefs in a game they kept making mistake after mistake and let Larry Johnson take it to them. Jay Cutler looked very shaky in the game and even though he threw for a lot of yards he also threw 2 key interceptions. The defence gave up a ton of yards on the ground and Tampa should be looking to duplicate that again this week.
Tampa looked great on defence last week and hope to continue their fine play with pressuring the quarterback and stifling the run as they have all season.
I look for Denver to come out hungry this week and being able to outscore the Bucs by a touchdown, but I will still hope for the defence to prevail and hope for a Tampa victory…
Have a great Sunday

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are taking advantage of all these “rookie” quarterbacks and to date, I like what I see. Tampa was able to make Aaron Rogers look like a first year quarterback by getting to him often and pressuring him into throwing three interceptions. The Bucs took advantage of some great running again by Earnest Graham to win the game 30-21. The balanced attack once again was the difference.
Tampa played great defence, the one area that has been consistent the first four weeks and were led by Derrick Brooks who looked like a man on a mission with one of the interceptions and also forced a fumble that led to a Bucs touchdown.
Brian Griese didn’t have the greatest game as he threw three interceptions and had a very low quarterback rating but did just enough to win the game. Sometimes it’s about managing the game and that is just what he did. Although, throwing three INT’s won’t get you far if that keeps up.
The game was played under a sombre note as kicker Matt Bryant’s son was buried the day before and he dedicated the game to him. What an incredible effort by Bryant to lace up the shoes and kick in this game.
Next week the Bucs go to Denver to take on a Bronco’s team that was just beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs in one of the weeks big upsets and they will be hungry to make up for that loss.
See you on Friday

As we have heard Brian Griese is the starting quarterback when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the Chicago Bears this Sunday.
I believe this is the right choice and what makes it even better is Griese has a lot of motivation to show his team from last year that they made a mistake by letting him go. Lets hope personal motivation doesn’t get in the way of the teams success.
It will be a bigger challenge then last week as Chicago has a stellar defence and are very hard to run against, so this will be a real test to see how well Griese can manage this team.
The Bucs can also hope that Chicago is Hester(less) this week as it has been reported that he is a game time decision and not having him in the lineup can only make it easier for Tampa this week.
I think Tampa will win this game by a field goal and the defence will be the difference. A win will only help Griese’s confidence and win over some of his teammates. A loss and this team could be in trouble very early on in the season.
Have a great Sunday and talk to you on Monday
Paul
