Blogger Bio: I'm Canadian. I'm also a baseball fan. Go figure. I've been a baseball fan ever since my grandmother first took me to an Expos game in 1988 - who remembers Spike Owen??? Ever since the Expos passed away, I've become more of a "fan of the game" - hence, my interest in the Brewers: a bit of a throw-back team, and the only Major League franchise to have played in both leagues. I'm also a soon-to-be lawyer, having just completed law school in April 2008. I was born in Ottawa, but live and work in Toronto now, where I share my bed with an American girl whose passion for baseball equals mine (though she's a Cubs fan!) Seeing as I eat, sleep and drink sports, I hope to someday parlay my legal experience and my love for baseball into a dream job with the Blue Jays - we'll see if that happens! Until then, I'll keep writing about the sport, and hopefully people keep reading.

Blogger Bio: I still remember the day that I became a Niner fan. My dad and I were watching Super Bowl XXIII in our family living room. At the time, I was only a casual football fan and to be honest, I didn't really care who won the game. That was until Jim Breech connected on a 40-yard field goal to give the Bengals the lead with under four minutes to go. I said to my father, "Can we change the channel now? The game's over." He replied, "Dave, you're about to see something great happen." Sure enough, the Niners got the ball back at their own 8-yard line and Joe Montana executed one of the most memorable performances in league history. "The Drive," as it's referred to, was an eye-opener for me and the clincher, Montana's touchdown pass to John Taylor, hooked me to this team for life. I remember how loud I cheered and how amazed I was that he was able to engineer his team down the field with such precision and efficiency. Joe Montana became my hero. I was a 49er fan. I experienced many highs and lows with the Niners in the subsequent years. My favourite moments include (in no particular order): 1) The 55-10 drubbing of the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXIV. 2) The 38-28 win over Dallas in the NFC Title game in 1995. 3) Terrell Owens "The Catch 2" against Green Bay in 1999. 4) Jeff Garcia's miracle comeback against the Gians in 2003. My not-so-favourite moments: 1a) Leonard Marshall's cheap shot on Joe Montana in the NFC Title game in 1991. 1b) Roger Craig's fumble in that same game. 2) Any game that involved a win by Troy Aikman or Brett Favre. 3) Lawrence Phillips forgetting to block Aeneas Williams, leading to the end of Steve Young's career. 4) Dennis Erickson being hired. 5) Alex Smith being drafted first overall. And finally, my all-time 49ers team: QB: Joe Montana RB: Ricky Watters FB: Tom Rathman WR: Jerry Rice WR: Dwight Clark TE: Brent Jones OT: Bob St. Clair OT: Keith Fahnhorst OG: Guy McIntyre OG: Randy Cross C: Forrest Blue DE: Charles Haley DT: Leo Nomellini DT:Bryant Young DE: Fred Dean LB: Dave Wilcox MLB: Ken Norton Jr. LB: Keena Turner CB: Jimmy Johnson CB: Eric Davis (Deion only played 1 year) SS: Tim McDonald FS: Ronnie Lott K: Ray Wersching P: Tommy Davis PR/KR: Dexter Carter
