Raptors acquire Jermaine O’Neal from Indiana pending physicals

The Toronto Raptors have acquired Jermaine O’Neal from the Indiana Pacers in exchange for T.J. Ford, Rasho Nesterovic, and 17th pick in the upcoming NBA draft.
This is definitely a surprise. O’Neal is set to earn a little over 21 million this coming season and 23.2 million the following season.
