Incase You Missed It…

Some food for thought for your Tuesday…
Earnest Graham could miss the rest of the season for the Buccaneers with an ankle injury he suffered against Minnesota this weekend. Expect Warrick Dunn and Cadillac Williams to pick up the load in his absence. Which leads to the question, how effective can Cadillac be? And can he make it through the rest of the season injury free? Those are the same questions that we’ve been asking about him for two years. That being said, he will have every opportunity to make that happen, but don’t be surprised if Warrick Dunn is still the most effective runner of the two.
The NFL could make a rule change before the season is over concerning video replays. Tired of missed calls and blown calls by officials late in games, the NFL would allow referees to review a play a 2nd time via instant-replay if they can’t come to a conclusion after the first viewing. The current rule doesn’t allow referee access to a replay a second time. Tagged on to this is the fact that the NFL could also try to prohibit official conferences following reviews. The bottom line is that the NFL has to do something to ensure games are called accordingly and that officials are not impacting the games where they shouldn’t be. This would be a good step in the right direction for the league, a step that should of been taken earlier in the season.
Don’t look now, but the Colts are firing again. In what started out as a disappointing season, could very well turn into a salvaged one. The Colts are playing much better football both offensively and defensively. They are creating turnovers and takeaways, and avoiding sacks by strong offensive line play, and by having Manning getting rid of the ball quicker. They sit at 6-4 and should have a great shot at a wildcard with an easy schedule remaining against San Diego, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, Jacksonville and Tennessee.
Hard hitting safety John Lynch has retired after 15 years in the NFL. Drafted in the third round by Tampa Bay in 1993, Lynch has made quite a career for himself, being selected to 9 pro-bowls between the Buccaneers and Broncos. Whether he was dropping in coverage or creating havoc with borderline hits, Lynch always found a way to make himself an integral part of the teams he played for. Lynch returned to Tampa Bay to make his retirement announcement official. Lynch took some time off to think things through after being cut by the Patriots earlier in the year. Lynch added:”I remember a core group of players, coaches and owners here believing we could change a culture of losing. We were the Yucks. We were the worst franchise in football. But having a belief and looking each other in the eye and saying we can change this thing, and we’re going to change this thing, it made it so sweet when we eventually did.” That being said, you won’t have to wait long to see John Lynch again. He makes his broadcasting debut with FOX in Jacksonville next week.
As if a tie to the Bengals wasn’t embarrassing enough, the Eagles will have to answer questions all week regarding Donovan McNabbs lack of understanding of the rules. watch?v=6MVZg639gJ4

Colts aren’t playing any better they simply are playing teams playing worse. Don’t let this Indy team fool you right now they can be beat by anyone and won’t make it out of the first round.

They’ll most likely be favored in 4 of their last 6 games. With a toss up game with the Chargers. That being said, I don’t think Indy will make a deep run, but I do think that they have a very legitimate shot at a wildcard birth. Something a lot of people wrote off earlier in the year.

I agree on that Dan. I think anyone who said the Colts didn’t have a shot at a wildcard birth would of been crazy if they looked at the Colts opponents down the stretch.
I also don’t think any team should be afraid of Indy no matter what they do to finish the season..

and while I have you talking about your gig at the team 1200 is it possible that you could have Kulka never speak about hockey again? Having to listen to that guy talk hockey just burns my ears…I love almost every personality on that show but he drives me insane. Perhaps I am jealous of his amazing CFL career or his MMA skills…or perhaps I am just willing to point out the guy knows nothing about hockey so he shouldn’t talk about it.

and yes I am aware he tried to play puck back in the day but you can imagine his role based on his numbers..
