The Pittsburgh Steelers and San Diego Chargers played to the NFL’s very first 11-10 score this past Sunday. Ironic it came just a few days after Remembrance Day that the score finish the way it did. There was mass confusion at the end of the game, where an apparent touchdown by Troy Polamalu was taken back because of a forwards pass, that never took place ( I still do not see it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wdbWt9IZsE ), but a win is a win in this league. The game started off with a Troy Polamalu interception that had Houdini shaking his head on how he came up with the ball, it was truly a remarkable catch. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AlAGkjv8qQ This was Troy’s second miraculous INT of the season.; his first coming against the Eagles. (See that one here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNxndh7f9OM )

The strangeness of this game did not end there. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 308 yards while completing 31 of 41 attempts, with no interceptions. Ben’s performance was also accompanied by Willie Parker returning to the lineup and his accumulation of 115 yards on the ground with a dash of Hines Ward; who totaled 124 yards on 11 receptions. The funny thing about these stats is they resulted in no touchdowns!!!

The Steelers defense on the whole dominated the game again and kept the team in the game. If the Steelers do anything this year, they will have their defense to thank for it. Time after time the defense rises to the occasion with a turnover or a big stop. Linebacker James Harrison is making an extreme case to be names Defensive Player of the Year. The man simply appears not to be human.

The Steelers now take their strange season to a game against division rivals; the Cincinnati “Bungals”, who managed to tie the Philadelphia Eagles this past weekend in the NFL’s first tie in years. A win over the Bungals will all but solidify the Steelers a playoff birth. Here’s a look at the remaining schedule of the Steelers that has been tough as they come:
