DOLPHINS HOPE TO KEEP ON WINNING

Miami looks to keep up it winning ways and win there fourth consecutive game at home against Oakland on Sunday afternoon.  The Dolphins will want to avenge last years terrible 35-17 loss where they gave up 299 rushing yards.  This is certainly a different Miami team as they have an NFL low seven giveaways and haven’t given up the ball more than once in a game all season.  Let’s hope this continues on Sunday.

My keys to a Dolphins victory:

1.  Come out with a better effort than last week against Seattle and continue this all game.

2.  Continue to run the ball well with Ricky Williams coming off a 100 yard effort, and as always the multi- purpose Ronnie Brown.  They should be able to take advantage of the Raiders run defense which ranks 29th in the NFL and allows and average of 158.1 per game.  This is one thing that must be taken advantage off for the Dolphins to come away with a win.

3.  Chad Pennington needs to continue managing the game well.  Last week he had one big glitch with an INT returned for a TD at a key point in the game.

4.  Stop the Raiders run game.  Darren McFadden should be back this week and is a load to handle.  The Raiders will be using a similar Wildcat offense as the Dolphins.  At least Miami should know first hand how to stop this, since they invented it!

5.  Defense needs to bring pressure on either JaMarcus Russell or Andrew Walter,  and not allowing them to get into any rhytm.

6.  Special teams again needs to come out with a big effort.  Stop allowing huge returns and Ginn and Bess need some better returns also.

The more I think about this game, the more it scares me.  The Raiders are due for a win and have to talent for the upset.  Still I think Miami comes away with a win in a close game 24-20.

Enjoy the games
