Cowboys face hated rival Washington in primetime on Sunday night

I want to welcome back Cowboy Nation as I have been away awhile and the Cowboys had their much needed bye week.
Week 11 has the Dallas Cowboys heading to Washington, DC to play the Washington Redskins. Any Cowboy or Redskin fan knows the Redskins beat the Cowboys in week 4, 26-24. The Cowboys have not looked the same since and this losing has to come to a stop and this blogger is saying that it is stopping in DC with a big Cowboy win Sunday night. These two teams bring a lot of intensity to their game along with quite the rivalry.
Dallas is to get a lot of their starters back and this starts with quarterback Tony Romo whom has been practising and taking snaps this week. The bye week last week for the Cowboys couldn’t have come at a better time to allow the Cowboys to get healed and maybe even focus a little on TEAM aspects and enjoy the week off from football. Â
Dallas has to approach this week with clock management in mind. Something the Redskins will also focus on, so keeping each others offence off the field will be both teams focus on winning Sunday’s game. The NFC East is about the most competitive division in the NFL and right now the Cowboys are on the outside looking in making this game all that more important.Â
Anyone who is counting out the Cowboys is not a Cowboy fan or for that matter a football fan as the Cowboys will play Sunday with a vengeance and walk out of DC with a WIN. If the Cowboys were to lose, going to .500 will spell disaster to the Cowboys making the post-season and I will not throw the towel in, at least right now.
Washington has had trouble moving the ball lately and with running back Clinton Portis out for the game, it could make things a little easier on the Dallas defence which any Cowboy fan knows can get quite nerve wracking watching all the holes in that defence. The Dallas defense must not allow the Redskin’s offense to intimidate them, gang tackle, let’s gets some turnovers
Dallas has to get the lead early and keep it by forcing the Skins to play catch up ball. Keep the Redskins fans out of the loop as I will say that when I watched the Redskin / Steelers game the other night, I have not heard a stadium that loud in ages on television or in person.  I know our faithful Redskin blogger Mercedes Green will be in attendance at the game and will look forward to reading her pre and post game blogs. Its time for the Dallas Cowboys to start playing football the way they can and show the rest of the NFL this losing streak is about to come to an end!!
After this week the Cowboys host the SF 49ers, then host Seattle on US Thanksgiving before a tough end to the season against the Steelers, NY Giants, Baltimore and Philly. Stay healthy Tony Romo please is my ending to this week’s blog.
As always, comment and questions are encouraged. I am in Buffalo for the Monday night game against the Cleveland Browns so be patient on my post-game blog.
