Hawk Talk - Seahawks vs Cardinals Subday Preview

I mentioned in my Mid Week blog that the tide is turning in Seattle, the excuses are fading away as Deion Branch and Matt Hasselbeck are set to return. With renewed hope comes renewed expectations we were once thought to be capable of winning this division so Sunday’s game is a real good chance to measure ourselves; with a measuring stick game.
But players beware in this game the fans are at the edge of their sanity with this team and a blowout loss will result in the 12th man raining down some of the loudest boos heard anywhere.
Team vs Team Match-up
This is not a good match up for the Seahawks the Cardinals are kind of the Phoenix Suns (pre-Shaq) of the NFL they score early and often and just hope their defense holds. To beat them teams have had to just flat outscore them or stop them. That poses a problem as our offense has not been very productive especially not through the air, while our defense has been very susceptible to a passing attack.
Keys To Victory
On Offense the key to the game is simple don’t turn the ball over, the Cardinals can score in a hurry the last thing we need to do is hand them extra possesions or good field position.
On Defense it’s not that simple as the Cardinals offense can score in a hurry we need to keep them on the field as long as possible. If they do score let’s make them earn it with execution on drives of twelve plays or more.
Specials teams will play a major factor for us in this game the Cards are too good offensively to hand them a short field we will have to be great in the kicking game at coverage as to not allow any big returns.
Key Matchups
Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald vs Secondary; It’s no secret our secondary has had it’s struggles this season this will be a major test
Matt Hasselbeck vs His Back Injury, Actually Matt’s back injury has been affecting his legs but how healthy is he? only he knows but it’s been evident that he wanted to try to play the last couple weeks.
Prediction
I don’t know why but for some reason I have this hunch that Matt has a real big game, it’s odd as I myself don’t like him as our starter and think Seneca has done a pretty good job also playing injured in Matt’s absence.
