Redskins Back Practicing After Taking Break During Bye Week

Most Redskins players last week left football behind for a few days to rest and heal. For example, TE Chris Cooley and QB Jason Campbell went to Disney World. On Monday, it was back to business. Â

Injury Updates and Player News
Â
- DE Jason Taylor is in full practice
- CB Shawn Springs is expected to be in full swing today or tomorrow.Â
- RB Clinton Portis has not practiced and during the bye week his knee sprain flared up. It has been classified as a second-degree MCL sprain. Portis was on a radio show and is holding up hope to play on Sunday. If he does, it will be very limited.
- RB Ladell Betts will be participating in practice this week, which is great news
- WR Santana Moss is “tentative” but is being worked at a good pace.
- Newly acquired CB DeAngelo Hall practiced this week and was photographed wearing #23 jersey (S Reed Doughty’s jersey number who is on injury reserve). It was speculated that Hall would wear #32, but the team roster officially lists Hall with 23. This will be the second time this season that Reed will profit from selling his number (not a bad way to make money on injury reserve)

I will post my preview blog of the Sunday night game against Dallas on Friday, when I will be blogging from a small town in Greene County Virginia called Stanardsville. This is home to the biggest Redskins fans I know (and once my home as well)!

Hail to the Redskins!
