Giants running game takes down Eagles…..

When you can’t stop the team your playing from running the ball thus controlling the clock for 39 minutes out of the normal 60 how can you expect to win.  To be honest I am actually shocked the game ended up only a 5 point difference.

The Giants showed not only that they are the beast of the east but also the class of the NFC and for anybody to take them down and stop them from trying to repeat will have to bring more then just their A game.

As a team the Eagles ran 21 times for 106 yards and 1 touchdown that’s fine if it was the total for 1 player but not the entire team.   On the other side the Giants stepped on, ran over, through, and around a defense that is hit or miss when it comes to playing the run to the tune of 45 carries for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Neither quarterback have the best of days but as we say with the Giants running game Eli didn’t really have to break much of a sweat on sunday night.  Manning’s counterpart Mr. McNabb well what to say about him other then I have come to expect this sort of effort from him when he puts on the Eagles uniform.  McNabb may not have the best, most talented, or even as much as a #2 receiver on his team but they can get open but he hits them as often as Jeff Carter hits the net for the Flyers which to say is not nearly as often as he should.

Let’s hope then put up a better effort when the head to play the Bengals this Sunday, it’s already entertaining to hear the “Fire Reid” chants again from friends, co-workers, family members, & any local sports talk radio station i listen to that given day.

You can even sign a “Fire Andy Reid Pettion”.  This is of course for humor to most people because they know it is most likely not going to happen, I guess this is the best way they know how to blow off steam.
