9-0 Titans Refuse to Lose. Beat Bears 21-14

The rest of the NFL is now on notice.  I’m thinking there were many coaches and coordinators that figured if they schemed a defense that took the Titans running game completely away it would ensure victory.  Well, the Titans had negative 5 yards in the first half and finished the game with a grand total of 20 yards on 29 carries.  The Bears won going away right?  Nope,  Kerry Collins threw for 289 yards and 2 touchdowns, completing 30 passes to 7 different receivers.  It was the first 200 plus yard passing game going back to last season during this current 12 game regular season winning streak.

This is becoming a special team.  Sure they don’t look like the juggernaut that was the Patriots last year but they are a deep team that plays well together and really limit their mistakes, especially during crucial points in the game.  Even though this was a 7 point game it was the same as most of the Titans games this year. Victory never appeared to be in doubt.  Even when they don’t play particularly well in one facet another part of the team steps up and gets the job done.

The Titans next face a Jaguar team in Jacksonville that is fighting for their postseason life.  It is a last stand of sorts for the Jags and the Titans will have to improve in all facets to come out of that game with a win.  They need to enjoy their day off and their start and get back to work tomorrow.  Its a blue collar team in a blue collar town and everything is coming together for a championship run.

This has been a special year for me as a fan of football.  I grew up a Giants fan in NJ and became a Longhorn fan while I lived in Texas.  Now after 9 years in Nashville I have been a Titans fan since the start.  As a fan my teams have a combined 27-2 record this year and all of them have good chances to play in championship games.

I hate to brag (not really) but my STB Fantasy Football Team will be 10-0 after tonight much to the chagrin of many of my fellow bloggers.

Keith Bulluck had a cracked rib and it was thought he might not play on Sunday breaking his streak of playing in 106 straight games.  He played and had nine tackles and an assist.  He pretty much sums up this Titans team.

Kyle Vanden Bosch, in conjunction with TNA Wrestling, are putting on a benefit for the Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee.  The KVB Birthday Brawl is scheduled to be on November 17th at the Wildhorse Saloon at 730PM.

Jeff Jarrett, Kurt Angle, AJ Stiles, Beer Money Inc, Rhino, Abyss, and the X Division Champion Sheik Abdul Bashir are all scheduled to appear.  Frank Wycheck will be making his second appearance in the ring and many of the current Tennessee Titans are scheduled to be in attendance.  Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com.  Visit kvb93.com for more information.

I’m part of the Nashville Predators “Ambassador Club”.  As part of the club people can use the following link to get special deals and discounts to Predators tickets throughout selected games this season.  You will also get a reduced per ticket printing fee, so you will save substantially over use of ticketmaster directly.  Follow the link, select the game your interested in and put “predators” in the special offer code.
