Hawk Talk - Seahawks Drop Game to Dolphins

So close, a bit of a heart breaker for the Seahawks who fought back down fourteen to get right back into this game and almost steal it in the end. Although we didn’t get the win, I am encouraged by the level of play and heart we displayed today, the difference really was execution and for once the injury excuse may hold some merit as in key moments of the game the Dolphins executed and we didn’t that simple.
The real difference in the game was dropped passes, there were two drops that really hurt the Seahawks offensive momentum. The first came when the Seahawks were down 13-10 and were driving for the go ahead score. On 2nd down and 10, Seneca Wallace threw a perfect strike too Koren Robinson in the end zone, beautiful double move sure touchdown… off the face mask bobbled then dropped Hawks settle for three points.
Directly after the field goal with the score 14-13 the Hawks defense holds and forces a quick punt. Our offense has alot of momentum but sputters, forcing third and twelve. Rolling out slightly left Seneca fires over the middle to Keary Colbert who has found a soft spot in the zone surely keeps the drive alive nobody near him… off his hands Seahawks are forced to punt ensuing drive Dolphins score.
Really those two plays some up the execution; we had this game in our fingertips but couldn’t find away to hang on.
I thought Seneca Wallace played a very tough game his stats and ability to move the ball does not reflect how often the Dolphins got in his face he was hurried 7 times, sacked once and knocked down 4 times at halftime, The Dolphins were not as successful in the second half but pressure was there alot of the time.
I have said before but to me there is no question Seneca should be our QB of the future he has delivered good games more often than not with a very banged up offensive line and second rate receivers, while still suffering from a nagging groin injury himself.
Also our defense played as well as I have seen them play this year in the second half of this game, they were quick to the ball and looked inspired.
With two home games coming up for a traditionally strong home team, I like to see the Hawks build on this success of sorts and play a real tough game next week against Arizona.

Koren Robinson is notorious for big drops, which is probably (in part anyway) why he hasn’t landed anywhere until a team was desperate. I really thought you guys were going to pull that one off today.

Yeah I know the reputation and obviously it’s well deserved
