For Bills and Pats its time to put up or….

Shut up. All year long even before Tom Brady went out with a season ending injury their were pundits predicting this year could be the Bills year in the AFC East. Brady’s injury combined with the Bills impressive 5-1 start only ramped up the talk. But as we hit the second weekend of November the Patriots, Jets and the Bills are tied atop the division at 5-3, with the Dolphins lurking at 4-4. I have been adamant in my evaluation that this division is the Patriots, until someone takes it from them.
This Sunday I may have to eat my words. Despite several key injuries on the defensive side of the ball the Bills come into Foxboro in what is to this point the biggest game in both of these teams seasons. For the Patriots this game is even more important with the Jets coming into town Thursday night. If this division is the Patriots to lose, they will certainly be given the chance to in the next six days.
There has been a lot of talk in Massachusetts about Matt Cassel and his emergence as an Tom Brady clone, albeit 2001 Brady. If Jabar Gaffney can hold on the ball last weekend the Patriots are likely 6-2 and leading the division heading into this critical stretch. This Patriots teams has been winning games with timely defense and sound, conservative offensive play. Nothing too fancy just X’s and O’s were Bill Belichick is at his best.
The Patriots haven’t lost a home game to Buffalo since 2000, and I don’t see that changing this weekend. Much like the Denver Broncos the Bills recent struggles can be tied to costly turnovers, much like the Broncos I expect the turnover battle to swing in the Patriots favor, costing Buffalo a shot dethroning the Patriots, at least this week.
Patriots 24 Buffalo 20
