The Baltimore Ravens travel to Houston to face the Texans this Sunday at 1 p.m. EST on CBS. This game is a rescheduled game from week 2. The game was canceled in week 2 because of the damage from hurricane Ike to the Texans stadium. The game was moved to this week and the Ravens lost their mid season bye week. Time will tell if the Ravens will hurt from not having a mid-season bye week. So far it has not hurt them. The Ravens sit at 5-3 on the season and are a game back of the division leading Steelers at 6-2.

The Ravens CB Chris McAllister is supposed to have season ending knee surgery and he would be put on IR. McAllister, if put on IR, will be the fifteenth Raven to be placed on IR this season. But with McAllister leaving comes the return of CB Samari Rolle. Rolle has been out for the past 5 weeks and is hopeful to return. Rolle is listed as questionable for this week’s game. Rolle had a chance of playing last week but opted out. The Ravens S Dwan Landry’s status is uncertain at the moment and he could be placed on IR. Landry has missed the passed five weeks with a neck injury. Coach John Harbough told reporters that a decision will most likely be made on Monday.

The Ravens defense will try to stop the Texans offense that will be missing quarterback Matt Schaub. The Texans offense has a very good passing game one of the best in the league and that is what it will take to beat the Ravens defense. The Ravens defense does not give up a lot in the run game. It will be interesting to see who covers WR Andre Johnson. He will mostly be doubled covered all game. It is up in the air who covers him primarily though. It could be CB Samri Rolle, CB Fabian Washington or even CB Frank Walker. I assume it will be Fabian Washington because Samari Rolle is just coming off an injury.

The Ravens offense will be going up against the Texans defense. The Ravens will continue to have rookie RB Ray Rice more involved in their offense. Rice was impressive last week and posted career high numbers. RB Willis McGahee will most likely get more carries this week as he did not get one last week. QB Joe Flacco will try to improve on his success that he has had the past couple of weeks and lead the Ravens offense. The offensive line will try to keep protecting Flacco and hopefully TE Todd Heap will get more involved in the ravens offense.

The Ravens worked on the special teams this week after a dismal performance last week. The special teams let Browns KR Joshua Cribbs run all over them. The Ravens will look for a good performance from both sides of the ball and a good performance out of their special teams. I am predicting the Ravens put their winning streak at 4 and win this week 17-10.
