Panthers FRESH off a bye week!

After stealing a game against the Arizona Cardinals 2 weeks ago the Carolina Panthers had a week off to analyse their first half (6-2) record and gear up and prepare themselves for the lowly Oakland Raiders (2-6) Is this a potential trap game? No!! unless you think that the Detroit Lions are a team they will be more concerned with next week.
Raiders at a glance…
The Raiders are in the midst of another disaster of a season and this week they released CB DeAngelo Hall. They are coming off a horrible performance against the Atlanta Falcons where quarterback JaMarcus Russell went 6-for-19 for 31 yards with an interception and was sacked four times which was his worst start of his young career in a 24-0 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The lone bright spot for the Raiders heading into this weekends match up against the Panthers is the fact they are 2-1 lifetime against them, but the last match up was 4 years ago.
Panthers at a glance….
I would imagine that John Fox took this bye week to prepare for not only the Raiders this weekend but probably threw in the Detroit Lions game plan as this is the softest part of the season for Carolina with a showdown with Atlanta 3 weeks away. Jake Delhomme should be fresh and the Raiders will have no answer for Steve Smith and the rest of the receiving core of the Cats. The Panthers will also welcome back Offensive lineman Otah and Center Kalil so expect a double dosage of Williams and Stewart this weekend as John Fox will look to impose his will on the Panther’s running game.
My Gut Feeling…
Well my theory of teams coming off the bye week will come into play and I totally expect the Panthers to run all over the hapless Raiders this weekend! Everything points in favor of the Panthers winning big this game but this is the NFL and from week to week there is always a team that shocks someone! Will this be the game…. DONT BET ON IT!!! Panther’s in a blowout…

Carolina is no good anyways, way overrated and have had a very easy schedule. Lost to teams like Tampa Bay & Minnesota.. The New Orleans Saints are going to end up on top of this division, take my word for it..

Let’s remember something this was New Orleans division to lose and that is what they have been doing since this season began. The Saints will have to jump over 3 teams in order to do what you have predicted. Good Luck!! They are going to NEED it!!! JerseyJay

I would agree with this comment except for the fact New Orleans can’t win on the road. Carolina is way more consistent on both sides of the ball.

Every team in this division loses games they have no business losing then win when you dont expect it. I wonder if 2 teams will come out of this division for the playoffs?

The Panther’s get the running game back to where it was then they will be the most well balanced offense in possibly the league. I hope they stay below the radar like they have this season and jump up and bite the Giants where it matters and that is in the Playoffs. JerseyJay

It was never the Saints’ division to lose Jayson, all the experts just predicted they would win. It’s Tampa Bay’s division to lose, since they were the NFC South champions last year. Of course, as everyone knows, the injury bug has bit New Orleans, and their d is kind of weak in the passing game, but our run D is average. Also, there’s been a lot of speculation concerning our #1 back, and our top 2 d linemen (Deuce, Charles Grant & Will Smith). In 15 years, I’ll be watching the NFL Network Classic Series, with Drew Brees, Sean Payton & Reggie Bush smiling and talking about the comeback and controversial season they had in 2008-09, and in the end, winning the Super Bowl baby.

The only thing you will be watching in 15 years is America’s most Wanted for your band of criminals you call football players….LOL

so what are you agreeing with?? the fact that he said they are no good or overrated? Or do you think they can play with their practice roster guys who are filling in for all the suspended players??

and don’t preach to me about injuries as the Panther’s in the last 3 years have been the poster children for the Charlotte Medical Center, and my hockey team that is a whole new ball of wax for injuries!!! Get Well Soon MB30 to make the run for Lord Stanley!!!
