FSU’s late fumble ends chance of win
They had it in their grasp, near the goal line and then it happened. I just jumped out of my chair yelled at the TV and screamed ****** jack*** way to go and I hope you never see the field again.
Florida St struggled all day against the spreed/option offense that Georgia Tech runs. After Florida St’s opening drive the game was just dominated by the Yellow Jackets. Mickey Andrews just didn’t have a solid answer as to stop whatever Paul Johnson put out there.
I give Tech credit they came with a game plan and stuck with it and got the luck to somehow bounce their way when they needed it the most. Who know’s how it could have turned out had Florida St been able to top Jonathan Dwyer’s 2 touchdown runs (36 & 66). Outside of those 2 runs he was held to 42 yards on 11 carries something you could live with.
Back to Tallahassee they go licking their wounds as they will have to forget this one as soon as they can and welcome the bust of the year in Clemson to town.

Eagles defense shows it’s strength offense not so much……
In the first quarter I admit I was thinking what was mentioned leading up to the game in that the Eagles were possibly looking ahead to the following week. The 90 yard pass to Robinson didn’t help ease my growing ulcer with this team.
But for some reason once the quarter ended the offense did find something leading to score from Reggie Brown (nice to see you show up) and of all people offensive lineman Todd Herremans. I fell off my seat when I saw that happen, but I guess when you are struggling in the red zone you are willing to try damn near anything.
In the 2nd half I guess they moved the ball enough and listened to me (not likely) & got David Akers some confidence in hitting 4 field goals. That was all the scoring we’d see in what my opinion was a boring half of foot ball.
I have to say the Eagles defense was pretty solid in this game limiting the Seahawks to 143 yards of offense minus the 90 yard pass. They were in the face of Wallace much of the day forcing some of the ugliest right or left handed passes scene this season (that includes any quarterback from the Lions, Bengals, Raiders, & Chiefs).
What I still question is what this offense does and is trying to do. They had so much potential in this game to get something or anything going to settle for less or nothing at all. Andy the Giants are far better then what you just faced I hope you have something up your large sleeve to keep the Giants defense guessing.
Games Fun Fact:
Herremans receiving touchdown was the first for a Eagle offensive lineman in 74 years.

Well I know the Eagles do with 3 out of their 5 wins against them.

It could have capped off a decent comeback and stole a win they really didn’t have any buisness getting.

It is scary just how sad Seattle is right now. Getting spanked at home is always bad, but doing it over and over, after winning almost every game last year, is scary.
