BIG WIN FOR MIAMI

Yet again the Dolphins surprised another team this season by beating the Denver Broncos 26-17. They came out with intensity and controlled most of the game by capitalizing on Jay Cutler’s three Int’s and limiting the Broncos ground game to only 14 yards. Miami scored 13 points of turnovers.
Miami was able to do most of my keys to victory by stopping Brandon Marshall allowing him only 27 yards receiving. The secondary stepped up even more led by the two Allens with one pick each. Joey Porter had another sack and the rest of the defense played a great game forcing Denver to throw with eight men in the box. Denver was caught off guard and never got into a grove.
On the offense side Chad Pennington managed the game like a true pro yet again. Ronnie Brown had a decent game with 59 yards rushing and a huge third down and 19 catch that led to Miami going up by 9 points with 3 minutes left. They capitalized on off Denver turnovers with 13 points, something a good offense needs to do.
One stat to that stands out to me on how good the Dolphins defense was against the run. The last time the Broncos rushed for less than there 14 yards was on Oct. 22, 1972 at Oakland when they rushed for 13 yards. That is just amazing against a Broncons teams known for a good running game and great offensive line.
If this Dolphins teams continues to show up for the rest of the season I will say again, Miami has a good shot to getting a wild card birth. As is stands today they are only one game behind and I think the worst of there schedule is already behind them mid way trough the season. Time will tell but I think this team is only getting better.
Up next a home game against Seattle.

The Fins really need to hold court at home these next 3 games! Then hope to split their road games. Lucky them the Buff game is in TO!

Agreed Kev, although the Seahawks and Raiders should be easy win, we all know there is no such thing in the NFL. You just never know. I hope so, then we can be 6-4 going into the game against New England. Plus the Bills game should be interesting, since there will be a lot of Dolphins fans. I can’t wait for that one since we are going. Going to be great.
