Noles / Eagles previews

This weeks will be short & sweet for both previews……..I need sleep from this week here in philly and I am on my last legs.  Something a lengthy nap will cure.

This week Florida St travels to take on Georgia Tech on the road.  This is a challenge in a sense most teams don’t play against the rushing style now being used by Paul Johnson and the yellow jackets.  Let’s see what Mickey Andrews has in store for the Seminoles 6th ranked rushing defense to go up against 12th ranked rushing offense.

Keys to the game:

Manage sustained offensive drives to keep the Tech offense off the field and limit what if any damage they can do.  Somehow I get the feeling FSU will be just fine in this area as the defense has always been there even in these down years.

And as always find and use a balanced offense.  This is still very key as Ponder has not had many solid games in both areas of his game.  I look to see them make some more progress in this area and help them down the stretch.

Eagles going west again

For the 2nd time this season the Eagles take a visit to the left coast.  This time against the Seattle Seahawks who are coming off their 2nd win of the season in beating the 49ers.  Reid and company must find whatever way they can to continue this winning streak as they enter part of their schedule in which the only team that should give them fits is the New York Giants.

Keys to the game:

It is a key in this game against a horrible pass defense fo McNabb to toss a few touchdowns, something he as hardly done this year despite his wide receivers have a lot of catches.

With L.J. Smith out this week getting the tight ends involved are crutical for the Eagles since they have not really gotten a whole lot of production out of this position.

Give Buckhalter some carries in this game, it’s very suprising how much time Westbrook played last week after coming back from injuries.

Defensively put as much pressure on Wallace and the receivers for Seattle.  If they can do this they should have a very good day in the pacfic northwest.

The key to the Eagles/Hawks game will be whether or not the Eagles will take the hawks too lightly. The Hawks are bad this year, but they are still scary at home, and also, maybe last week was their coming out party.
I don’t see Reid having a hard time keeping his team focused, so my money is on Philly!

I think Reid can have a hard time sometimes or at least it appears that way. Many times they under estimate the teams they play and it comes back to haunt them.

Maybe being a good friend and mirror image of Holmgren he won’t since he knows what to expect.

FSU should get by GT, Jackets cant score and FSU has a much stronger D and better on offense.

I expect they will Kev, but they still should take a rushing attack many dont use serious and get caught.
