Whether it was the Cardinals collapsing on the road or the Panther’s finding a way to win, the end result was the Carolina Panther’s nipped the Cardinals 27-23 in Cardiac Cat comeback fashion.
The Panther’s were led by pro bowl receiver Steve Smith who had 5 catches for 117 yards with 2 touchdowns including one for 65. The Panther’s who were down 10-3 at the half exploded for 21 points in the 3rd, while holding the Card’s to 13 points. Jake Delhomme had another solid effort completing 20/28 for 248 yards and 2 TD’s. DeAngelo Williams is putting to rest any running back controversies with another workman like performance of 17 attempts for 108 yards and another TD.
The Cardinals seemed as though they were going to score at will through 3 quarters until the Panther’s dodged 2 bullets with an interception and a fumble recovery in the red zone to preserve the win. Both Boldin and Fitzgerald had a great game with Boldin finishing with 9 catches for 63 yards with 2 TD’s in the red zone and a 30 yard end around, and Fitzgerald finishing with 7 receptions for 115 yards. Warner has shown that he is an unstoppable force this season as he was 35/49 for 381 yards with 1 TD but it was his interception that turned the tide in the red zone. The Cardinals D was unable to get the ball back on the final Panther drive that ate up 5.59 mins of play clock including the knock out blow coming on a draw play from Williams to pick up 15 yards for the final first down to ice the game for the Panther’s.
The Panther’s are now sitting pretty at the top of the NFC South with a game lead going into their bye week, whether they should have won this game or not is only a question for the Cardinals now as the Panther’s grasped this victory from the jaws of defeat to move to 6-2.

Cards let one slip away. I watched alot of this game. That final drive by Carolina did it though, Stewart was terrific running the ball.

6 mins of keep away especially coming from John Fox who is way too conservative at times is a testament to both how good the Panthers run game is and how poor the Cards D is. What do I do this weekend with no NFL?? man I hate the bye weeks!!! JerseyJay
