Dallas stops two game losing skid

It was not the most exciting game but the Dallas Cowboys got back on the winning side by beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 13-9 Sunday in Dallas.
The game was not on tv in my area (Toronto) so I am going on highlights I saw and some homework I did last night and today.
Brad Johnson started at quarterback for the ailing Tony Romo and well the numbers were not all-pro, they did result in a win for the Cowboys who needed this win badly. Johnson was booed on and off the field, basically every chance the Buc fans had to boo Johnson, they did. That works fine with Johnson as like any QB/player, they will take boos to win and that is exactly what the Cowboys did was WIN…
Newly acquired Dallas wide receiver Roy Williams caught his first pass as a Cowboy and also caught a touchdown pass (his first as a Cowboy) and in fact the only touchdown of the game.
On an injury note, Dallas tight end and my favourite, Jason Witten went down with a rib injury. Witten has been nursing sore ribs for weeks but has been playing. Witten left the game,  came back but then left again only to not return to the playing field. I can only hope Witten can get healthy enough to play the Giants this Sunday.
I won’t get into stats but there are not a lot to speak of. The Cowboy defence played probably one of their best games of the season holding the Bucs offence to no TD’s. Albeit the Bucs did move the ball but there was some key defensive stops plus some timely Buc penalties that helped the Cowboys en-route to victory. The defense played as a unit and with much needed energy, something that has been missing for weeks.
Short and sweet, Dallas heads to the Meadowlands to play the Super Bowl Champion New York football Giants. Should be an exciting game and should also be on tv although I again probably will not be able to watch as I come home from my weekend in New Orleans….
Have a good week everyone and as always comments and questions are always encouraged.

Not the most exciting game… lol that’s an understatement, even the highlights even put me to sleep.
That being said I thought the ‘Boys defense really stepped it up and got a much needed win, heading into a huge divisional tilt with the Giants this week.

I hear ya Nich on the excitement level of the game. The positive as you say is Dallas had their defense show up which is something they can take to New York as that game will be a grinder forsure….

What are the odds that Dallas looks to find a better solution as to who will be there backup QB next season ?
