Bears Mid-Week Hits

After coming off a heartbreaking last minute loss against the Atlanta Falcons last week, the Bears are preparing to face a resurging Minnesota Vikings squad.  Hopefully being back home will be beneficial for the Bears, who have to be disappointed with how Sunday turned out.

- The Bears secondary is going to have to bounce back from their troubled game.  Allowing the Matt Ryan pass with 11 seconds left is just unacceptable.

- Last year’s receiving leader on the Bears Bernard Berrian makes his return to Chicago this Sunday, one has no doubt the Bears will give him a ‘loud’ welcome back.

- As of Wednesday, the Bears are a hobbling team with key players such as Marty Booker, Brandon Lloyd (still), Nathan Vasher, Nick Roach, Rashied Davis, Charles Tillman all having limited practice or none at all.

- If Booker, Lloyd, and Davis can’t play Sunday, QB Kyle Orton won’t have many viable options to throw to except Devin Hester, who is starting to improve with each passing week.

- Rookie phenom Matt Forte also didn’t practice Wednesday, not due to injury, rather Coach Lovie Smith gave him the day off; well deserved I say.

- Note to Bears….no more squib kicks. Thank you.

See you all Friday!

-Will

    Zach Smith Says:

A win and first place is theirs. They have better balance on both sides of the ball and by far and away better special teams. If Orton takes care of the ball, they get the win!
