Pacman Jones suspended again……..

Today the NFL has yet again handed out a suspension for off the field misbehavior of Adam “Pacman” Jones.  One has to wonder if this kid with all the talent in the world and large contracts ahead of him can not handle himself accordingly off the field to allow himself to make a living many of us won’t come close to on it.

In my opinion the constant news of him being in trouble is just a black eye the league and Cowboys do not need.

Here is the ESPN article with the news.

I doubt he ever sees the field again. He is destined for prison or death.

I agree James. Jones is really making a bad mark on the Cowboys (whom I blog about) and even the NFL as a whole which is just sad, sad, sad. You hit the nail on the head when you say that he cannot handle himself making that kind of money when we can only hope that we could make that type of lifestyle he has the opportunity to do. I will say I think the Commish is handling it well and very professionally. The saga continues…should be interesting….I made a little mention of it in my post-game blog….

His problems seem to steam from alcohol (current fight, night club shooting), so perhaps the league should suspend him but also force him to seek treatment. That way instead of just kicking a man out on the street to fail perhaps they can rehabilitate him. I’m sure this is just wishful thinking but its worth a shot.

Also Goodell is on a slippery slope here, as he continues to flex his muscles thanks to a weak players union. Jones deserves whatever comes his way after the events in Las Vegas, but its hard to justify suspending someone or even banning them from their job if you only have allegations to go by. Why not suspend Larry Johnson for being accused of beating a woman? If a court of law finds a person guilty of crime X, then he can do whatever he wants imo. But taking the law into his own hands can be dangerous.

He has had run ins with the law back when he was attending west virginia. As far as I know they also included alcohol being involved.

It is insane the amount of money he has left on the table already in a short NFL career! Must be nice!
