Drama in Dallas nation

First of all I have to come in and say that all of you that were pro-Arizona, my apologizes, the Arizona Cardinals did exactly what they had to do which was beat the Dallas Cowboys.  Final score, 30-24 in front of a packed home crowd in Arizona on Sunday.  There were a lot of you that said Arizona was going to not only cover the spread in this game but go out and beat the Cowboys and kudos to you for making that call.

How did this happen to America’s team?  I asked myself that numerous times since Sunday and it was ugly what I came up with.  Dallas was trying to climb up a hill almost the entire game as the opening kick-off Arizona runs it back 93 yards for a TD to open the game.  Dallas never got into the groove and outside of actually getting the game to OT, Dallas was not destined to win this game.  At times I will say I don’t think either team wanted to win as both teams were giving the ball away like candy on Halloween, fumbles, interceptions, dropped passes, it was ugly but at the end of the day, ugly does not count when you put another ‘W’ beside Arizona and a ‘L’ beside Dallas.  Dallas quarterback Tony Romo put up good numbers in the loss but those numbers mean nothing when you get don’t come up with a win.  As I have said before any professional athlete would trade careers numbers for the wins over stats.

This was a tough loss in more than one way, they lost players to injury, starting players to boot.  Dallas starting quarterback Tony Romo apparently broke his pinkie finger on his throwing hand and will miss the next 3-4 weeks which does not bode well in Dallas nation.  This will open the door for 40 year old back-up, Brad Johnson to come in the run the huddle and hopefully Johnson will be able to get the Cowboys back on track and in the WIN column.    Dallas also potentially lost first round pick Felix Jones for up to 2 weeks with a hamstring pull but F. Jones will be re-evaluated and play his injury week-to-week and see how he fells but look for F. Jones to be out 1-2 weeks.

I am not even going to give Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones much time in this blog but he is again up to his antics and not sure if the NFL is going to have something to say but look for something to be said about what has gone on in his life the last week and potential fines, suspensions and who knows if Adam will be able to wear a Cowboy uniform ever again let alone any NFL uniform.  I wish he would use all his energy for the football field and not off the field but this is Pacman we are talking about which should say enough.

The game ended in ugly fashion with  Dallas ending up to have to punt from deep in their zone in OT when two Arizona lineman basically came in un-touched to block the punt (he almost took it right out of the punters hands-he was that close) and well the result was an Arizona TD and a Cardinal win and put to rest an ugly but yet exciting football game.

Dallas will head to St. Louis to play a Ram team that just beat a good Washington Redskin squad so don’t look for me to make any predictions on this one but it would be nice for the Cowboys to get back to Cowboy football and get a much needed win and start to use all their lost weapons (has anyone seen Terrell Owens lately?).

Comments and questions are encouraged.

cheers, see ya’all later in the week.

Looks like the NFL just announced that Jones will be suspended “indefinitely without pay” for at least the next 4 games.

I hate to say it but Pacman deserves it…..I don’t like to give the guy my time of day but such a great athlete with absolutely no brain cells which is sad-sad-sad. I think the Commish is handling it as professional as possible given and don’t look for Pacman to wear a football uniform anymore but who knows….

I agree with you guys, Pacman should be banned forever!

As for the Cowboys, this team is incredibly overrated!

Certainly will be interesting as to long-term ban against Pacman. As of today it is apparent that Pacman seems quite disgusted in himself and this ordeal but—–we have all heard that before—-the saga continues….
