So after a first at bat strikeout, this is not the start the Sox wanted from Wakefield

Just put my daughter to bed…It went from bad to worse as a 3-0 deficit grew to 5-0. I heard Cash’s homerun to cut the deficit to 5-1

Good night. I’m going to bed
5:10AM comes early so this is a good spot to crash since this isn’t a contest
Bruins @ Montreal tomorrow night…GO B’s!
At least tomorrow, I don’t have to sit thru those dumb Frank Caliendo commercials. Am I the only person in America that thinks he’s not funny?
October 14th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
He might have been funny at one time, but after TBS has whored him out for two straight years, he’s gone from possibly funny to #1 on my list of people to strangle.
Tough game tonight Jim, but I’ve learned never to count the Redsox out and I’m sticking by that until Tampa has won 4 games.
October 14th, 2008 at 9:45 pm
You called it Jim, Wakefield was awful! When you are off for an extended as a knuckle baller the ball is usually high in the zone, therefore a hitters dream! Sox have to rid themselves of this guy in the off-season.
October 14th, 2008 at 9:45 pm
He has been beat to death. Tough spot for the Bruins on Wed. night. Habs home opener!

Joe - Like you said, never count the Sox out but since Ortiz made his comment about how the Rays looked scared after G1, Joe Madden took that statement head on, made no excuses and they haven’t been the same since then. They are killing the Sox pitching, running the bases with confidence and the Sox aren’t hitting at all. I have a flair for the obvious, I know. Now, the Sox have to rely on Dice-K to give them more than 5 innings again. If that happens and they do happen to win G5, then it’s back to TB for G6 and the injured Beckett. I don’t like their chances this year.
Kev - As far as Wakefield goes, I think you keep him one more year. If you look at him purely as a #4/5 starter, he get’s you 10 wins and eats up a ton of innings saving the bullpen many nights. If he does next year what statistically he’s used to giving them, then you look at it again for 2010
I agree on the B’s spot tonight…Probably be all kinds of festivities ramping up to 100 years of Montreal Canadian hockey
