BUCS SLAYS THE PANTHERS

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers flexed their muscles and finally beat the Carolina Panthers after losing to them the last five times at home. Jeff Garcia started the game at QB for the injured Brian Griese and had a great game leading the Bucs to a 27-3 victory that was also led by RB Warrick Dunns best game since returning to the Bucs this off season.
As usual the defence played a fantastic game getting a lot of pressure on Jake Delhomme who threw three interceptions and could not get anything going all game long.
The Bucs scored early on a blocked punt and the defence held the Panthers in check all game.
This was as good a game as you can play on both sides of the ball and if Tampa wants to succeed all season they should use this game as a marker for future opponents.
Next week Tampa hosts Seattle in the Sunday night game and we will have to wait and see the injury report as to who they will be starting at the quarterback position, Matt Hasselbeck or Charlie Frye.
Have a great week and talk to you on Friday
Paul

Solid win posted by your boys!!! they beat my Panther’s every which way and loose!!! Line of scrimmage was dominated by TB and Warrick Dunn had a great game!! Garcia was the big difference as he is now 5-0 lifetime starting against the Panthers….

Nice to see Garcia earn his spot back, that is the type of play I’ve come to expect from him.

Ya he should be the starter. I remember you saying Paul that you thought Griese should be the starter when he was yanked in favour of Garcia. Honestly, I think Garcia gives them a better chance of winning. Thoughts?

I think they need to find themselves a QB who will be the fixture for them. Both Garcia and Griese are bascially stop gaps and nothing more. Sure they will provide you some excitment but that’s about it.
