Cards knock off Dallas in history making overtime game

The Arizona Cardinals started the game with a special teams TD and ended it with another as they defeated the Dallas Cowboys 30-24 in OT on a glorious day at The University of Phoenix Stadium. There is nothing like having Cowboys fans go silent. Is there are more obnoxious fan base in all of sports than that of the Cowboys?
This was the type of win this team needed. We all know that the Cards play much better at home but you also need quality wins over the contenders in your conference. The Cards could have easily folded as they have in seasons past when Dallas went ahead 14-7 in the 3rd quarter but instead they marched down the field and tied the score. A key 3rd and 17 ignited their drive.
Steve Breaston continues to elevate his game as he pulled in 8 catches for 102 yards and a TD. With Anquan Boldin set to return in 2 weeks, this team will have 3 options at receiver for QB Kurt Warner. Speaking of Warner, he has rebounded nicely the last 2 games after his horrible game in NY a few weeks ago. I hope Matt Leinhart is learning and watching what it takes to be a winner.
Yesterday’s game definitely was a bizarre one. With the game ending on a blocked punt for a TD, the first time in NFL history that this occurred, everyone walked away getting their moneys worth.
With the Cards heading into their bye week lets hope they figure out how to win on the road, with 3 of their next 4 and 4 of their next 6 on the road. We are going to find out in a hurry if this team is ready to make a major push in the NFC. Nobody can take anything away from them as they sit atop of the NFC West and knocked off America’s Team!

Nice to see a former Eagles helping out the Cards being the Cowboys.

I don’t really see how the Cardinals lose the NFC West.
It’s true that they are a much different team on the road, but they should be fine as long as they take care of their division games. It’s nice to see the Cards finally starting to put it all together.

The NFC west is the Cards to win or loose. The division is really down right horrible this year.

Agreed! I watched alot of this game, the one thing the Cards need to eliminate are the deep balls, they are giving up 2 big plays like that a game and they need to stop it!
