I am hoping alot of you NFL football fans join us today for our in-game blog. With so many great games on the slate Sunday, I really hope many of you can hop into the discussion at any time during all the action today!!
We did the same type of feature last week and it went over well. What we are doing is having an in-game blog all day long so you can talk about NFL football. Post your thoughts on various games throughout the day. It could be venting about your favourite team or gloating about your fav team.
You might see a great play or horrible effort by a certain team. Post anything that might strike up a discussion. Or, quite possibly you enjoyed watching a team lose because they hate them to the bone.
I will be around all day post thoughts and comments!
Kevin

Cincy giving the Jets fits early on!

Colts look very good and could go up 14-0!

Carolina is pasted early! Figure that out.

Anyone see Miami’s TD yet snapped to Ronnie Brown, reveresed to Ricky Williams then pitched to Chad Pennington for the bomb, to a reciever as open as anyone I have ever seen.

Well I just saw the Cobb run for 80 yards, that was impressive, looks like Houston has given up!

ATL is having its way with Chicago!
October 12th, 2008 at 10:49 am
I am sure all the halftime shows will have the Miami TD on!

Matt Ryan looks good today

That 70 yard punt return by Houston just got them back in the game! Cobbs has both TD’s for Miami, both long TD’s!

Do the Ravens ever look awful today!

Skins are falling apart at the seams. They seem to only play their best offense with underdogs. Playing an 0-4 team at home and losing into the half by 1 point is unacceptable. They also posted their first offensive turnover (2 so far) of the season in this game. Messy football. They better come out on fire in the 2nd if they’re going to win.

Falcons really need to get more points out of their red-zone possessions… The score should be at least 21-3 at this stage, but sadly we’re coming away with field goals instead of TDs… Still, Matt Ryan has been impressive, and with what appears to be an injury to Charles Tillman on the corner for the Bears, we might be in better shape for the second half…

Sorry typed a 1 instead of a 3. Losing by 3 into half. Unacceptable. Now they’re behind in points so maybe they’ll now finally turn on the heat? Have been on simmer all day.

Quick possession for the Bears, who appear confused in their play-calling against a very non-aggressive Atlanta defence. I’m hoping the Falcons bring some blitz packages, and release John Abraham on Orton in the second half…
October 12th, 2008 at 11:42 am
The Falcons are moving the ball well, but again, will have to settle for a FG from Elam… At least the kicker is consistent, going 4/4 so far. They desperately need to convert one of these redzone possessions though, or else they’re letting Chicago hang around too long…
October 12th, 2008 at 11:54 am
As I had feared, the Bears beat us to the end zone, and have clawed back within 2 points (assuming they make the kick). Falcons really need to get things going in the right direction…
October 12th, 2008 at 12:09 pm
Nice response by the Falcons, finally converting a touchdown… Gotta love Roddy White, who is emerging as a real top-notch receiver. Now the defence needs to put up a big stand, to keep momentum going for Ryan and the offence…

Helmet to helmet hit on Calvin Johnson, he looks like he’s pretty messed up
October 12th, 2008 at 12:23 pm
Huge defensive stand by the Falcons to stuff the Chicago run at the goal-line… Now Ryan has to put some more point up to get a larger gap between the Falcons and Bears. This game would be considered, by most, to be a huge upset if the Dirty Birds win…

Sorry guys, had to go out for an hour.
Dan - Your Falcons had a nice punt return just now!
October 12th, 2008 at 12:40 pm
Yikes just saw a reply of it!
October 12th, 2008 at 12:41 pm
Miami scores to go ahead 28-23 with 145 left.
October 12th, 2008 at 12:42 pm
Elam misses the kick, likely his shortest of the day, to keep Chicago within a touchdown of the win (currently 19-13 Falcons)… This would be heart-breaking…
October 12th, 2008 at 12:53 pm
Dammit! Looks like the Falcons are screwed by Elam’s missed kick… What a time to miss his first attempt… Nice comeback by the Bears, barring a miracle here… Let’s hope for another big run-back by Norwood….

Ton of last second finishes.
Houston scores a TD on a draw play up the middle, Schaub TD.
Minny last second FG.
