The spread is 13.5 in favour of the Redskins on Sunday’s 1PM game. The Redskins are also playing at home and have an offense that improves every week. The Rams have not yet won, but have a new head coach in Jim Haslett. This should be a cinch for this Redskins team, but they play their best football when behind in points or when they are the assumed loser. They like being the underdog. The Redskins took a while to finally mould itself into their new head coach Jim Zorn’s methods, but can the Rams do the same?

Injuries – There are a LOT in defense
Â
Both DE Jason Taylor and CB Shawn Springs returned to practice yesterday. Taylor had limited practice and his calf is still stitched. I doubt he will be playing against the Rams. As for Springs, he was full swing at practice. He is listed as a projected starter.Â
Â
Both DT Cornelius Griffin and LB Marcus Washington sat out practice yesterday. Asked if Griffin will play, Defensive Coordinator Greg Blache said it was “too soon” to know and “If he can’t go, then Anthony Montgomery and Lorenzo Alexander will have to step up.” Whether Washington plays will depend on if he practices today.Â
Â
S Reed Doughty did not practice yesterday either. “He’s probably going to be down,” Zorn said. “We’re trying to give his back a little break. It’s just an irritation.” Doughty’s replacement Rookie S Chris Horton has played very well in his place.Â

My prediction: Redskins 31-13. Hail to the Redskins!!!!!!!!!!

Seems like the perfect cinderella setting for a Redskins team to blow a very winable game…

I agree! If STL gets off to a good start this could be one of those games that the Skins struggle in. Hard to get up after wins on the road at Dallas and Philly. Double digit dogs have been covering all year, not one hasnt yet! This will be a much closer than people expect.
