Steelers (4-1) Bye Week – Updates and News

The Pittsburgh Steelers couldn’t need this bye week anymore than now. With the rash of injuries and the toughest schedule in football, these Steelers are battered and bruised beyond recognition, but that’s all about to change come week 7.

The Steelers will welcome back Willie Parker, Casey Hampton, Carey Davis and Brett Keisel for week 7 against the Bengals. Even though the Bengals sport a terrible record, this game is huge in helping the Steelers secure another division title and we all know divisional games are never easy.

In other news, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was given AFC Offensive Player of the week honours. Roethlisberger completed 26 of 41 passes for a season high 309 yards and three touchdowns in the 26-21 win over Jacksonville. This marks the 4th time the Steelers have received weekly honours.

I will be back early next week to give more updates and news, as well as preview the Bengals game.

Nice job getting the schedule up Jamie! Man, what a tough schedule, the more I look at it, the more I think if the Steelers win 10 games they just might still be the best in the AFC, even though their record might not reflect that. When you are playing that many tough games, its tough to get up each week.

Oh the almighty bye week comes at a great time for this Steelers team. I must say, I really like this Steelers team. They are that good. It would not surprise me at all to see the Steelers and Titans do battle for the AFC crown.
