Panthers vs. Buccaneers Preview

Showdown in the big Sombrero!!! The 4-1 Panthers take on the 3-2 Buccaneers which should be a knockem sockem affair with 2 Solid Defense’s squaring off.

Buccaneers at a Glance….

The Bucs have some injury issues to deal with but have homefield advantage in this contest. Garcia is expected to get the call with Galloway out of the line up and Dunn questionable.  They are 8th in the league in team defense which should make for quite a heated affair against the Panthers solid Defense. Warrick Dunn just eclipsed Eddie George on the all time rushing record and has been impressing all season long.

The Panthers at a glance….

The Panthers are coming off their most lopsided win in franchise history so is there a let down against the Bucs? This is the perfect time to play a division rival as teams tend to pick up bad habits while blowing out teams and forget what it takes to win a 60 minute effort. The 1, 2 punch will continue to roll this week but will more than likely have a tougher time against the Bucs D then the cake walk last week against the Chiefs. Ryne Robinson has been put on IR for the remainder of the season and Kenneth Moore from the lions now comes home to Charlotte where he grew up being a player and a fan of the Panthers.

My Gut Feeling…..

The Playmakers will decide this game and with the injury situation of Griese out for the Bucs. I see the Panthers running thier winning streak against the Bucs in Tampa Bay to 6 in a row this weekend in a hard fought battle, with Steve Smith being the difference.

Panthers win this one, more consistency on both sides of the ball.

They have been very solid but let one hit against Minny set the tone for the whole second half of that game. If the Panther’s do win this game I think they should be put in the contender category to come out of the NFC.
