The Giants remain undefeated after tearing apart the Seattle Seahawks 44-6. This is the Giants’ best start since 1990, a year they went on to win the Superbowl. In a division that is looked at as the toughest in the NFL, this is exactly the kind of start the champs needed if they want to secure a playoff spot come January. I was amazed at how easy it looked for them, especially the offense, considering they were missing Plaxico Burress. With Burress serving a suspension, fans got treated to the coming out party of Domenik Hixon. Hixon, who is known for his special teams ability, got off to great start, connecting with Eli on a 32-yard TD pass on the Giants opening drive. Hixon finished the first half with 102 yards receiving and another 15 yards rushing proving the offense could be dangerous, with or without Burress on the field. Unfortunately Hixon suffered a concussion which kept him out of the second half.
With Hixon playing as well as he did filling in for Burress, the Giants had no problem getting the running game going. Led by Brandon Jacobs, the G-men put up 254 yards rushing on a defense that before this game ranked in the top 10 against the run. Jacobs finished the game with 136 yards rushing and two TDs. Sinorice Moss also cashed in on the additional playing time that went his way with the suspension of Burress as he caught two touchdown passes: one from Eli in the third quarter and the other from David Carr at the end of the game. The Seahawks had no idea what hit them as the Giants unleashed for 523 total yards. With 342 of those yards coming in the first half, the Seahawks got themselves into a hole that the Giants defense wouldn’t let them out of.Â
The defense played a great game as they allowed the Seahawks only 187 total yards of offense on the day. I thought the Seahawks were going to give the defense more of a challenge with Engram and Branch back in the line up.  Unfortunately Hasselbeck went down with an injury after Seattle’s first drive, but he was able to shake it off and continue, although his performance appeared to suffer. After allowing only two field goals in the first half, it was obvious the Giants’ defense had an answer for everything Seattle was trying to do. This was made more apparent when the Seahawks failed to score any points in the second half. Bottom line, Seattle didn’t show up and the Giants were ready to prove that Plaxico isn’t the only playmaker on the roster.
If Plaxico doesn’t do anything else to further alienate himself from the team, then he should return to practice this week. Hopefully this experience will humble him enough to stop his shenanigans and become a better teammate and employee to the Giants. We all know what he’s capable of, and the G-men will need his talent from here on out if they want to build on this incredible start.
The Giants head to Cleveland for a Monday Night battle with the Browns. Check in for injury updates and the week 6 preview.

THey didnt miss a beat without Burress. The Giants have drafted so well that they have so much depth at almost every position its scary! They beat Seattle with ease, and they did it in every phase of the game.

I think they could have beat them with a few starters missing. Seattle has drafted poorly in recent years and failed to really land the type of free agents they need.
Giants are that good this was a game they showcased the talent they have behind the talent. This division could come down to them or the Redskins.
