ANOTHER GREAT GAME

Its been a while since the Miami Dolphins won two games in a row.  In fact not since November 2006 have the Dolphins won back to back games.  On Sunday the Dolphins put in another great effort and came away with a well deserved 17-10 victory over the San Diego Chargers.  Now they have doubled there win total from last season.

The Dolphins dominated most of the game with Ronnie Brown rushing for 125 yards and yet again lined up for some direct snaps on 11 plays which generated 49 yards of offense.  The direct snaps have certainly made defense’s guess and spread the field and brought new confidence to the Dolphins.  “We can compete, and we’re starting to realize that,” Brown said.

On defense Miami came up with some big plays when needed.  They put pressure on Philip Rivers and kept LaDainian Tomlinson in check with only 35 yards rushing.  The key to the game was when the Dolphins stopped the Chargers and LT on fourth and goal.  This stop showed Miami can play with the best and step up when needed.  The Phins needed this and it will be a turning point in there season when they look back.

If Miami can keep playing like they have with ball control, smothering defense, and a few offensive tricks, well then they can only get better and possibly challenge for a playoff spot.  The AFC is wide open at this point so who knows.

Next up on the road is the Houston Texans.  Should be another good game.

I’m impressed with Ronnie Brown. I really didn’t expect him to rebound after that injury from a year ago.

Fins are controlling the clock and confidence is everything.

Me too, I though Ricky would get most of the carries for the first few weeks, but Ronnie has taken the load and Ricky is making some key blocks for Ronnie.

They just might surpass the 5 wins I thought they would reach.

Maybe you should start selling “Trust the Tuna” t-shirts if that happens.

Too funny! I see 6 wins, unless they reel off a win against Houston and Baltimore.

The way Houston is playing that is very possible.

I wonder how much Houstons loss on Sunday affects the psyche of the team.
