One thing is for sure, within the Raiders locker room. The players really liked Lane Kiffin.
What bothers me about this whole situation, is that getting players to come to Oakland is going to be a lot harder now. When Warren Sapp comes out and tells everyone not to come to Oakland, and seeing what Davis has done to some players and coaches, it makes it tough to sign talent.
So when does the mess end?
Most football fans think that the Raiders are going to struggle until Davis is gone. I’m not so sure. I believe that all it will take is a couple wins, and some comraudery in the locker room, and everyone will start jumping back on the bandwagon.
Davis has made many mistakes, and he definately hurts the progress of this team when he fires good coaches, and makes poor decisions, but that doesn’t mean that they are doomed for failure for the remainder of his tenure. Does it?
Here is the question that must be asked to us within the Raider Nation. Would you like to see Davis sell the team to someone else?
Whats my answer? Unfortunately, YES!
I would love to have a coach be able to come in, and do what he wants to do. I would love to see a new idea of how to play the game. I would love to have some function, within a disfunctional organization.
Like I have said before, I love Al Davis, and I love what he has done in the past for this team. I also will stand by him, because I don’t have much of a choice, but if given the chance, I would love to have him retire and move on with someone else.
As much as I hate to say it, Davis is taking “Just win, baby” and twisting it into “Just win, Al’s way”
It’s tough being a Raiders fan right now!

Saturday @ 2:30pm ET my Sens play the Pens! I CAN”T WAIT!
(oh ya, and I still say that my Raiders finish 8-8)

Where exactly is the dark side?
Are you a Cards fan, or Browns? I’m not quite sure.
The problem is that I am on the dark side, and this is the original starwars, so we are not doing too well.
Also, you and I both know that Davis will die before he either changes, or sells, so I might be in for a long, bumpy ride.
At least our Sens have been good.
Can’t wait for tomorrow

Very true!

I already read that. Nice stuff huh?
I am not a big fan of seeing past players bad mouth their old teams, even if they are right.
Although, Tiki Barber did it last year and the Giants won the Superbowl, so maybe the Raiders will do the same!!!!!
STOP LAUGHING, its not funny!

8-8, really? 6 wins would be nice for that group.

I really do think that we can get 8 wins this year. Our team is not bad at all, and if not for the distractions and drama, we could be onto something great.
Russell has done well, and a QB rating of over 85 is great for a rookie. He doesn’t throw a lot of INTs and he is getting comfortable out there. Plus Coach Cable is making a lot of sense with what he wants to do with this offense, and if it works, look out, because the D is great and if the Offense can get going, they could suprise a lot of teams.
Plus our schedule is not that tough at all.
I really think that it would be a big mistake to underestimate this team.

8 wins? This year? Alright, I wanna see the schedule… You guys are like the Falcons, other than the fact your problems came from the top down rather than at the base of your team…
I’d give ya 5 wins or maybe 6, depending on the sched, kinda like I give the Falcons… We’re gonna be talking at the draft table… LOL

Rookie, regardless of the snaps he took last year, he is in his 2nd year Russell just like Brady Quinn. Brady hasnt had any snaps as a starter yet. Actually when I looked it up, he threw 8 passes last year in game action.

Most people are giving the Raiders no more then 6 wins also, but I just think that we are too close to being competative that we are going to have to win more then that. I also have blind faith and stupidity on my side of thinking, so I wouldn’t take my thoughts to the bank!

I’m wondering what Brady Quinn will do in the NFL!
