Coming off a win against Colorado (finally found it on the internet thanks for www.channelsurfing.net) and saw most of the game. Florida State finally got it’s running game going with Antone Smith having is way. What is still of much concern is the passing game as Ponder & Richardson having been able to get much of anything done.
Keys to this game for Florida St.
1. Get the passing game going. They will need this to atleast compliment the running game so Miami does not focus on just one area and basically say I dare you to beat me.
2. Continue to play solid defense. Here is the most realistic one for them to handle. North Carolina beat Miami and they honestly don’t have the skills and overall talent Florida St has on this side of the ball.
I expect this game to be pretty tight as most games in this very bitter rivalry and are not usually ending in any blowout fashion.
Prediction: Florida St. 17 Miami 13

Eagles Vs. Redskins Preview
Back to the grind of not only a game within the NFC East it is a rivalry game. In this series 6 our of the last 12 games have been within 8 points. This has normally been a very hard hitting, physical, knock down, drag’em out style game. It may very well come down to who can make the most plays on each side of the ball and maybe even come down to special teams.
Keys to the game:
1. On offense if Westbrook does play go back to getting him unlimited touches to help the offense feed off of that and open up the rest of the offense.
2. Stop the Redskins playmakers. Portis, Campbell, Moss, Cooley, & even Randel El can burn you so many ways it will keep the Eagles defense guessing and on it’s game if they can expect to not only stay in the game but win. Per the Eagles website Sheldon Brown will be covering Moss.
3. Red Zone offense. After last weeks miserable efforts inside the 20, Andy and company have to explore other avenues to get into the end zone other then what didn’t work last week. I have faith in knowing this is something they worked on during the week in order to not have a repeat perfomance that close to the end zone for atleast this game.
Injury Report:
Donovan McNabb - Chest: Practed Thursday and expected to play
Asante Samuel - Chest: Practed Thursday and expected to play
L.J. Smith - Back: All signs and reports have him looking like he will be able to play.
Brian Westbrook- Ankle: Has had an increasing work load in practice everyday but no work on his status for Sunday.
Kevin Curtis - Sports Hernia: Has practiced on a limited basid with the team the last 2 weeks. He is not being rushed in a effort to not aggrivate the injury while giving it proper time to heal.
Prediction: for this game Eagles 23 Washington 17

My prediction looks about the same, but Redskins 23, Eagles 17. Unless the offense completely falls apart or some key players get injured (they are almost all healthy now), the Skins are on a warpath to the divisional title.

They are playing very well early on. Can they stay away from any type of slump ?

Looking forward to the Canes/Noles battle. Canes look much better lately. As for the Eagles, I don’t see Skins offense moving the ball the way they did against Dallas.

Canes do look better, wonder if they are over the last minute loss to North Carolina.
Eagles still have areas to sure up but hopefully they can manage to hide them or overcome them enough to handle the Redskins.

Injuries are killing this team!
They deserve to be 4-0, but because of injuries they are 2-2.
(thats why I said that they would finish 8-8)

Very true, they could easily be 4-0. Eagles could very well come out of the NFL when all is said and done in January.

I had said 10-6 which is still possible it’s very early. It’s not like they can’t correct these errors. Even with the injuries they haven’t really been out of reach from winning either of their losses.

I think I should have bet on guessing the exact score of the game! Go Skins. The Redskins D held on and got the win.
