Lane Kiffin was fired this morning according to news sources.  The leading candidate to replace him appears to be the team’s offensive line coach, Tom Cable.  Owner Al Davis interviewed Offensive Coordinator, Greg Knapp and Special Consultant Paul Hackett in addition to Cable.

Listening to Al Davis in this press conference is a complete and utter joke! This team is doomed as he is making decisions. He talks about Kiffin being immature. The guy should listen to himself, Davis sounds like a child for why he is firing him. I just cant believe it.

He’s like the Howard Hughes of the NFL now. The Raiders are going to be a second division joke until he finally loses his mind completely, sells the team, or dies unfortunately for their fans.

Thanks Victor, I am working out of town and my work day is about 13 hours, so I just got home, and got the news. I will try to contain my anger about Davis and his brutalizing of the Raiders, and get a blog out.

sad day for raider nation. Davis blasts Kiffin with a bunch of accusations so he’ll have a case not to honor the contract. You’d think Davis is the speaker of the house.
