Kiffin dumped by phone!

I once broke up with a girl over the phone, and I felt bad about doing it, but she wasn’t very nice, and deserved much worse.
Today, Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis broke up with his head coach Lane Kiffin, and he did it over the phone.
The statement that was released said that Kiffin was fired for “cause”. Which means that he somehow breached his contract, or Davis is trying to get away with saying that he breached his contract, so he doesn’t have to pay him. Great move Davis! Its not like you have enough enemies, lets get some more.
There are so many things that I would like to say right now, but due to the fact that I have to keep this PG rated, I will have to contain myself. One thing is for sure though, I am at my lowest point of being a Davis fan right now.
Kiffin was fired, Davis replaced him with offensive line coach Tom Cable (who by the way, Kiffin hired), Kiffin is going to release a statement tomorrow. Davis already released his. Oakland is a mess.
I don’t want to speculate too much into this, so I will gather the facts, as I have not had the time to do so yet. I have been working out of town and my work day keeps me away from 5AM to 6PM, so time is not on my side right now. But I will post more, when I know more.
For now, I need a beer.

Al Davis has become a joke of who he once was. I don’t know all the details but at some point, you have to let your GM do his job and the coaches do their jobs. Hire good people and let them bring the organization back to respectability.
