At halftime the Rams had a 14-6 lead. But in the end it was a short lived accomplishment as one crucial interception from QB Trent Green and poor defense led the team to their demise and defeat 31-14 to the Buffalo Bills.
For one half, the Rams were a confident team on both sides of the ball. The defense swarmed Bills QB Trent Edwards to make quick plays and held Bills running back Marshawn Lynch in check. Green made all the necessary throws to keep the ball moving and Steven Jackson showed up, running for his longest TD run of the season.
However, to win games in the league you have to put a consistent effort for 60 minutes. So by the time the second half rolled around, and Green threw the game changing INT to a Bills defensive back, the Rams collapsed and let a game slip away to the Bills, falling to 0-4 on the season as a result.
If the Rams can play the game for a full 60 minutes, they will be on the track to better results. I really feel they let this one slip away. Next week is the bye week. Let’s see what changes they come up with to try and salvage the season and get a win.
