Rams Preview- Midweek Chat- Week 4

The Rams will enter Week 4 with a new man under center. It was announced yesterday that backup QB Trent Green will get the call over former starter QB Marc Bulger against the 3-0 Bills this Sunday.

This is the type of move that should spark the team. Although being completely embarrassed in the previous three weeks should be spark enough, there is still a slim choice that this could work. Green is a veteran and brings a fresh face to the offense. Bulger has got nothing but beaten up this season and looks not as solid has he has been in the past, so putting in Green might be a nice change of pace.

Right now, the Rams could use anything to get them in the win column. It remains to be seen if Green is up to the task of making this happen but with the way things are going, it is better give something like this a shot rather than just staying the course.

Was Bulger really playing that bad?, or does he just not have any support?
I don’t see how a slower, and older Trent Green is going to be any better.

I feel like it was the latter, but then again, I don’t get to see many St. Louis games. It stands to reason though that he has the talent, as he’s been pretty good over the past few years when healthy, and with a good team around him.

I am curious to see Green this week. He hasn’t really played since week 6 (?) of last year.

Exactly, Green last played a game when he was throttled and he is one concussion away from retiring!

I’m not to sure either. All I know is I’m in favour of a changeup. How bad could Green be? Bulger was having under 200 yards passing 1TD stat lines so far this season. If Green is worse than that then the Rams are really in trouble.

I don’t know how healthy Bulger is because he should be doing better if he isn’t injured. I mean he got paid like a #1 QB and in the past he has been way more consistent and put together strong games. I mean he still has Jackson and Holt so its not like he has no weapons. Something is wrong with him IMO.

Haha yeah and the Rams line isn’t that much better so he better be out of the pocket throwing it away or he will probably see a lot of turf this weekend.
