Is Griese the Man?

As we have heard Brian Griese is the starting quarterback when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the Chicago Bears this Sunday.
I believe this is the right choice and what makes it even better is Griese has a lot of motivation to show his team from last year that they made a mistake by letting him go. Lets hope personal motivation doesn’t get in the way of the teams success.
It will be a bigger challenge then last week as Chicago has a stellar defence and are very hard to run against, so this will be a real test to see how well Griese can manage this team.
The Bucs can also hope that Chicago is Hester(less) this week as it has been reported that he is a game time decision and not having him in the lineup can only make it easier for Tampa this week.
I think Tampa will win this game by a field goal and the defence will be the difference. A win will only help Griese’s confidence and win over some of his teammates. A loss and this team could be in trouble very early on in the season.

good blog Paul. I think time of possession is going to key on the victorious team as both teams will probably look to hog the clock if they can. If Chicago is Hester(less) as you say than that can give the Bucs a leg up on special teams in any event. This game could be a sleeper but all in all someone has to win. Good luck to your Bucs, I think they will need it…..

No doubt Glenn, the TOP is huge.
I just get the feeling that Griese will not make it to the midway of the season as the starter. The guy has never lasted a full season as a starter, so why now? I just dont see it, my 2 cents.
