Coach Mike Tomlin set the record straight in regards to his quarterback’s injury. It is sprained and not separated.
“I have no idea where that report came from,” Tomlin said. “It didn’t come from me or my medical staff.
“If anybody in here has got any information about where that report came from, send them to me.”
Roethlisberger will take it easy for a second straight week in practice, but has full intention of being in the line-up for the Eagles tilt.
“He said it feels better than it did a week ago, which is good,” Tomlin said.
Deshea Townsend will more than likely miss his second straight game with a heal contusion. He will be replaced by Bryant McFadden, who has thus far, filled in admirably.
Travis Kirschke is expected to be inserted into the line-up, to take the place of injured Brett Keisel.

It happens. I really like McFadden since he was a Seminole and am a bit shocked he hasn’t taken a starting role by now.

Steelers tend to bring their young guys along at a slow pace. From what I heard, they traded Mahan to be able to offer McFadden a long term deal. Townsend’s career is on the wind down.

Have yet to see him in person but I did see him twice while he was at Florida St. Once in 2003 in Tallahasse and in his last college game at the 2005 Gator Bowl in Jacksonville.
