I wish I could be Chuck Liddell and still make half a million for being knocked the hell out.

It’s really all about working your way up. You work hard, win often, and your pay increases. It’s a game of selling yourself. Create a superstar persona and it’ll pay!

The UFC doesn’t dish out salaries like Chucks everyday. The bottom line is that win or lose, he was the face of the UFC for a few years, and by far the biggest name and draw in the sport. Sure he’s lost 3 of his last 4 fights, but the guy still draws an audience. People want to see the iceman because simply put, he’s a knockout artist. Lidell might never regain the popularity and ranking that he once owned, but you can understand why the UFC still pays him the big cheese.

This is great info Justin. But how do four guys earn 7 to 10 grand apiece when the others are quadrupling their earnings?

The whole salary system has been scrutinized for quite some time, but as long as Dana White keeps racking in the money, I wouldn’t expect to see any changes.
