The Philadelphia Daily news is reporting that the Philadelphia 76ers and head coach Maurice Cheeks agreed in principle to a contract extension, general manager Ed Stefanski announced Tuesday. This extension is on top of the one he signed on Feb. 20.
This has been a very busy off season for the Sixers President and GM Stefanski. The signing of Elton Brand and the extension given to young superstar Andre Iguodala has given the Sixer fan base alot of enthusiasm about the upcoming season. Are the Sixers ready to make that next jump in the East’s top contenders? A question I can’t wait for this young team to answer.
Cheeks has a 113-133 record since joining the team for the 2004-05 season.
