Karo out of UFC 88; Injured….or panicking?

The UFC announced today that Karo Parisyan is injured and will not fight Yoshiyuki Yoshida at UFC 88 Saturday night in Atlanta. It’s too late to find a replacement to fight Yoshida, so that fight has been scrapped.
There is no word on what happened to Parisyan, other than the UFC referring to it as a “last-minute back injury.” Parisyan-Yoshida was scheduled for the televised portion of the card.
A match-up with Yoshida would have been a good one, and if Parisyan’s injury isn’t too serious, it would make sense for the two to fight again at a later event, perhaps UFC 89 on October 18.
Karo recently came forward admitting to suffering from panic attacks, anyone else think this last minute injury is no injury at all?

Seems suspect to say the least if he can’t get a hold of these attacks his career is probably over. It takes an unbelievable calm to not panic when your close to getting submitted or choked out.

I highly doubt he’d be hard core training, where he could risk injury, just a couple days before a fight. I’d say it was a panick attack. Poor guy. But Terry’s right, if he doesn’t get it undercontrol he’s done. People without anxiety feel anxious before a fight. I’d hate to see how an individual suffering from panick attacks would react to that situation.

…….and the exciting fight brought to the main card as just announced by the UFC:
“The Ultimate Fighter 7″ cast member Matt Brown (7-6 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Dong Hyun Kim (10-0-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) to UFC 88’s televised main card.
Jump for joy.

Not to sound dumb, but is this something that has happened in the past when it comes to the Ultimate Fighter?

last time i remember was about UFC 4 or so when royce gracie defeated kimbo slice and took a beating and had to pull out of his next fight WHICH WAS THE SAME NIGHT. And then they brought in alterate fighters. lol.
I can’t believe this fight is making the main card now, brutal.

When Royce Gracie defeated Kimbo Slice..?
Sherdog is reporting that they’ve confirmed that it IS a back injury:
“Randy Couture, one of Parisyan’s primary training partners, said the fighter “put his back out” some time between Thursday evening and Friday morning and was having difficulty walking.”
