As the birds trimmed there roster the only real name on it was that of former first round pick Jerome McDougal who just figured out what it took to be a pro to late. He may draw some interest from teams who saw how he played and are in need of a defensive end (insert Giants here).
Biggest shock to me is Tony Hunt taking the fullback spot on the roster. Personally I dont think he looked all that good at the spot. If I had to guess is they weren’t going to give up so easily on somebody who they used a early draft pick on, that and they didnt get much out of this position at all this pre-season.
Here are the remaining names to be cut in getting the final roster set.
Kyle Arrington (CB), Bam Childress (WR), Jed Collins (FB), James Davis (FB), Therrian Fontenot (CB), Michael Gasperson (WR), Nick Graham (CB), Jamal Jones (WR), Mike Marquardt (DT), Shaheer McBride (WR), Ryan Moats (RB), Marcus Paschal (S), Montae Reagor (DT), Stefan Rodgers (OT), Justin Roland (LB), Andy Studbaker (LB), Pago Togafau (LB), Kris Wilson (TE), Scott Young (OT)
Now onto September 7th and a opening date with the St. Louis Rams……………What I look forward to the most is seeing how Jim Johnson uses Shepard, Brown, & Samuel in what maybe be the best trio of cornerbacks in the NFL.
Here is the final roster 2008 Philadelphia Eagles

The Giants could use a defensive end for sure!

That and the Giants defensive cordinator is very framilar with McDougal so it would be a smooth transition over.
