Browns suit up for final pre-season game tonight

Excitement is in the air.  You can almost cut it with a knife.  The final pre-season game!  All the chips are on the table when the Browns meet the Bears for their final opportunity to evaluate the talent in front of them.  Just kidding…  The final pre-season game usually has as much excitement attached to it as mowing the lawn.

The painful aspect of this one is that the Browns are playing the Bears.  Neither team is generating any excitement so far, as both are 0-3.

I know…it’s only pre-season…whatever!  That statement is for people that really don’t watch the games.  Both of the Browns lines are being blown off the ball, especially our O-line, that is supposed to be so dominant.  Some idiot the other day said, “It’s pre-season, they aren’t playing 100%”  OMG!  You want to get hurt or get someone else hurt…play at 50% normal speed and strength. You’ll find your a$$ on the bench or the stretcher real fast.

As in years past, the opposing quarterback can get to the 3rd chorus of “Kumbaya” before throwing the football and still keep his jersey clean.  While Shaun Rogers had some good plays in the last game, he can’t do this alone.  The Browns spent some good money and good draft picks on beefing up the D-line.  If the play of the 2 lines doesn’t improve, this is going to be a long season.

The DB’s look to get eaten alive all season long.  If we don’t get some decent back ups and a nickel guy, we’re screwed.  They all look lost.  I read some praise for Sorenson somewhere, but he had a couple of good plays.  Other than that, the dude looks lost out there, along with the other DB’s.

Sorry to be so negative, but other than the kick/punt return teams and our kickers, everyone has sucked.

I look forward to the game tonight and will cheer my a$$ off, as usual.  Lift one for the Brownies tonight!

Go BROWNS!

Very curious to hear your thoughts on Brady Quinn’s last game. With no Jamal Lewis or Braylon Edwards, how did Quinn look?
