The Injury Bug Lurks On In Troy

Just as Mark Sanchez and Joe McKnight return to practice, USC tailback C.J. Gable is hobbling around on a pair of crutches. It almost seems like there’s a curse on the Trojans offense - as soon as a key player returns, another succumbs to some sort of injury. Hopefully the MRI that he will undergo tomorrow won’t reveal anything too serious and his sprained hip/ankle should improve shortly.
The fact that McKnight is practicing, however, has substantially improved by mood. He’s without question, the best offensive skill player the Trojans have and he has to be good if they want to run the table and win the National Championship. The receivers will obviously have to step up, but I really believe USC goes as far as McKnight will take them.
That’s it for now. I’ll be breaking down the Pac 10 on Monday, as we gear up for the start of the season.

With the stable of backs they have i dont see them missing a beat. McKnight will be fine, add Johnson, Bradford, Green, Tyler, & McNeal.

True, but there’s still questions regarding Sanchez’s health and McKnight, at least in my opinion, is the unquestioned best guy they have in that backfield.

true but i still think with the depth of talent on that roster they may have a gem so far on the depth chart that can show his stuff to smooth things over till McKnight is healthy to play assuming he is going to even miss anytime. still 11 days before they play their 1st game.
