No word yet other then he went down, hopefully it is not serious and will just require some rest. Hopefully in the next few days we will find out how serious this is. If not transfer Mitch Mustain would be the one to most likely step in.
***UPDATE***
He has a dislocated left knee cap and was popped back in place according to David Wharton of the Los Angles Time; Sanchez will not do anything this weekend and begin rehab monday.

Great stuff getting this up James. Is Mustain able to play though? Doesn’t he have to sit out a year?

This would be a HUGE blow to USC if Sanchez is out for any significant amout of time.

he sat out last season.

more will be known after he being rehab monday.

WOW! A dislocated kneecap is serious, regardless if it is popped back in place. The amount of strengthening around the joints that it will take is quite a process. I graduated in Kinetics and I can tell you, the fact that the Ohio St. game is a month away means it is very unlikely that Sanchez is ready unless he performs some sort of miracle comeback.

Stranger things have happened, I am guessing they will see how is rehab goes. I can’t imaging Carroll sending him out to play if the games approach and he is not where he should be.

I couldnt quite remember on Mustain, it seems like it was just last year that he played at Arky. Thanks for the quick update on it.

No problem, even behind Mustain they have another talented QB in Aaron Corp who they say is probably in time going to be better then Mustain & Sanchez. Not to mention Matt Barkley who is part of the 2009 recruiting class.

I hope the kid is okay for two reasons. One, I hate to see college kids getting hurt and…
two, I don’t want any excuses from Trojan fan after the Buckeyes beat them.
See ya on the 13th.
Go BUCKS!

Sanchez, Mustain — it won’t matter! OSU will get blanked

I am first a college football fan & second a florida st fan. Only 2 school i dislike and they are Miami and Florida.
To be honest Tom, I think USC will beat OSU, they have exactly if not as much or more speed and skill then some of the school in the SEC that mopped the floor with OSU is the last 2 championship games.
It will for sure be a awesome game.
