They have to cut their losses with Grossman if he fails again this year.
As for the RB situation, I think having a go-to guy is what the Bears need, someone they can rely on. Just my 2 cents.

The Bears are in such a peculiar position having gone to The Dance only 2 years ago, they’re caught between maintaining the team in hopes of success, and complete rebuilding mode.

The whole Orton-Grossman dog fight is just a piece of work, someone has to step up and do it soon.

That is a blow losing Williams so early in the pre-season. What I dont understand is that the Bears could have had Chad Pennington to help their QB situation.
As for the RB problem, Shaun Alexander is still looking for work!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pennington I don’t feel is anymore proven than Grossman to be honest, the guy is injury prone and hasn’t proven himself in my books.

As for Alexander, the Bears are having issues finding any starters as it is, hopefully somebody steps up so they won’t have to resort to Alexander, who is past his prime and is a short term solution that might not even pan out.

I truly think Alexander would be an excellent stop gap for a team that needs 2 years to find a longterm starter at the RB position. Between his leadership and experience, he is more than worth a shot in my books.

As for Pennington, I guess when you look at how rugged Pennington is, that is a tangible he brings that Grossman certainly needs to work on. Unfortunately it is one of the intangibles that can’t be taught easily. Orton on the other hand brought that toughness when given the chance 2 years ago.
